The forest is a pleasant destination within walking distance of central Habo; why not take a picnic to eat in the shade of the beech trees?
Stora Kärr beech forest is thought to have been established in the early to mid 17th century. Today, the forest is a nature reserve. The area is easily accessible from the car park on road 195 east of Stora Kärr farm.
